Bitter Truth about Us

It's been nearly 3 weeks of PBOX talks and as my brain is currently trapped in the limbo land of disappointments about what I've realized about the world, please allow me to rant. Who knows, this might do some actual good.

My fingers and toes are now all, crossed.

My LC was given the opportunity to spearhead the first PBOX of the Philippines and we have nothing but big, big hopes for this baby of ours. We've been spending impossible hours working on everything needed to be done to ensure that this be executed well and although much is still to be done, I can't tell you how excited I am. But then again, I'm guessing you all already know that.

SEE, or the Social Entrepreneurship Experience, "commits to harness the entrepreneurial spirit of the Filipino people, fuel their potentials and provide channels of opportunities while compelling them to become better stewards of the society".

For 2 months, 20 trainees will be immersing themselves in total Filipino living as well as giving probable aid to the growing problem of unemployment and poverty my beloved country is facing. The trainees will be helping out 100 micro entrepreneurs either to develop their business plans or run their already established businesses. With that in mind, we hope to tap into the hearts of the Filipinos and make it known to them the urgency of our economic situation. If people with a different citizenship was able to care enough to come here and help us out, how can they possibly just sit around doing nothing about it?

That has been an age-old battle I think every nation is championing over but sadly, nohing much has been done.. Rather, nothing much has been even tried to be done.

Apathy is a human generated plague we all deny to have within ourselves. It's a pandemic 6 letter word which can only cause the very worst once tolerated. We already have Cancer attacking our physical wellness, are we going to allow Apathy to encroach even our moral well being?

This has got to stop. What happened to giving back to the world? To educating ourselves with enough social responsibility? To common decency? Deep within us all is a Good Samaritan and we all need to poke him from his sleep and utilize his goodness. Cause chances are, no one can bring him to his feet other than ourselves.

If you don't care about other people's lives, then think of your own. No matter who and from where you are, we are all in this together. We are all part of one world and it can always get worse..

Unless you start doing your part today.

"There is more hunger for love & appreciation in this world than for bread" -Mother Teresa

Ces,

Please take Azz. I'm sick of having him in the office. He takes up valuable couch space.
