Living it Right
Everyone says the same things about me. That I'm too positive, how I see goodness and beauty in everything, how idealistic I am and for a time, I thought that was clouding my better judgment. Maybe, I thought, I'm not seeing the big picture but when I took a closer look within myself, I found myself staring at the (whole) gallery.
And well, that ain't so bad.
I have always been an optimist. For one, I don't see the point in magnifying the bad and two, I think exercising negativity is a pure waste of time. I've always been a dreamer. I understand the human soul's need to feed on positivism and I gladly succumb to its nature. I don't dwell on regrets, I'm impossibly random but undoubtedly impassioned.. by my Faith, my family, AIESEC and the world itself.
The world, nor my life, is nowhere near perfect but it's never too late to make it better. I'm talking to someone right now (hi Alex!) who shares my passion for changing the world and I must say, it's darn good to know there's more of me out to challenge the world towards the better.
I'm lucky I get to be surrounded by people who have the same basic ideals as I do. Some might be more rational than I am but I believe we are all driving forth the same route.
As for me, yea I have my aspirations of one day landing a stable career, hopefully a family but I have never really cared about where I end up. There are 3 essential things I do look out for though..
-How many lives I've touched
-How much I've loved and learned
-How often I face the mirror and like the kind of person looking back at me
No one knows when we're going to die, or how. And at the end of the day, all we really need to make sure is that we've lived our lives right.
